Section 1.

Section 1. Strategic Partnerships

(interinstitutional cooperation, international projects, consortia, and grant activities in the era of artificial intelligence and digital transformation)

The section focuses on rethinking strategic partnerships of university libraries as a foundation for developing innovative knowledge ecosystems. In the context of digital transformation and the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, libraries are becoming active participants in international research infrastructures, Open Science projects, digital humanities initiatives, and cross-sector collaboration.

Special attention is given to:

  • participation of libraries in international grant programmes (Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Creative Europe, etc.);
  • the creation of consortia for the development of Open Science, repositories, research data management, and OER;
  • partnerships with the IT sector, publishers, scholarly platforms, and AI developers;
  • joint implementation of digital services, artificial intelligence tools, and analytical platforms;
  • libraries as centers of crisis resilience, support for vulnerable communities, and academic solidarity;
  • the development of global academic cooperation through library diplomacy and knowledge diplomacy.

The section aims to discuss new models of strategic interaction in which the library acts not only as a service unit, but also as a full partner in shaping the future of science, education, and society.
